Hello Mother Earth, hello Father Sun, hello trees and hello every soul being - some of my favorite uttered words whenever I go out in the morning for my daily nature walk.
I am an environmentalist and living in a town like Los Banos, located at the foot of Mt. Makiling, keeps me grounded and connected with Mother Nature. I have been part of this community since the late 80's and we are so blessed with extraordinary scenic space and all the trees surrounding us co-existing with us. We are also so blessed with the environment that allows us to explore, do outdoor activities with friend and families and most pleasantly breath some fresh cool air that is no longer enjoyed in some areas.
One Friday morning, I chose to visit a nearby university called the University if the Philippines, which is just two (2) kilometers away from my home. It was a sunny day with fantastic blue skies and simply perfect to greet the morning with a joyful heart.
Whenever I do my morning walk, it is a sacred practice to a soul song titled "Love Peace and Harmony" which I dedicate to everyone and everything out there.
Amazingly, along the way, I met a brown horse which was quite a rare experience for me. I could not figure out how young or old he was but this poor guy was tied to a rope. I suddenly felt empathetic and a bit sad. So I tried to walk a few more steps to get closer and closer while I chanted louder and louder. Then I heard him reply with a horse sound. I may not be able to understand what he was saying but I could feel from my heart that he was pleased with the song that I was chanting, if not with my voice. At that moment, I felt a strong desire to become a horse whisperer. I wish I could stay longer and be connected with him more. How I wish I could understand what he was saying but this is uncertain now. I hope he received the song's message that I was chanting to him. It went like this:
'I love my soul, heart, mind and body.
I love all humanity.
Join soul, heart, mind and body together.
Love Peace and Harmony.
I left the place and horse with a calm heart and mind. Greatest gratitude for the morning walk. Until next time.
